Douglas, a native of southwestern Pennsylvania, has been passionate about landscape painting since he was 11. Much of his artwork highlights the beauty of the Dolly Sods Wilderness in the Monongahela National Forest. His studio in West Virginia is conveniently located close to the Dolly Sods Wilderness.

Doug's career has taken him across the globe, yet he regards the Dolly Sods Wilderness as the finest place on earth to appreciate the serenity and splendor of nature.
